End of Tour

The driving is OVER!!! After a final 7 hour leg in the journey, we are back in Winnipeg. We are all very, very relieved that we don't have to get back in that van. We arrived on thursday for the first of three shows at The Zoo. We played along side Suck my vox, The way out, and another local punk band. A huge thanks to Vince for coming by nd taping the show for us. We got some great footage, and of course we played awesome!

Friday is a day of rest for Lokjaw. Tomorrow we play an outdoor Canada day show, and then an evening Canada day show. This will be the last day of the tour, and I'm sure it will be one hell of a party. End of transmission...

We are now back in Sudbury after a long haul. Off to Thunderbay tomorrow, and back to Winnipeg on thursday for our last three shows.

On our way to Thunderbay we almost ran out of gas! We stopped about 10 minutes out from the next town to wait for BCAA. After about in an hour of waiting, and taking in the sights, we decided to chance it and make a run for the next town. Let's just say, we did have plenty of gas. Some cool scenery though.

After arriving in Thunderbay, we headed over to LU radio to do a radio interview. Thanks to Jason for the opportunity, and to Kevin for asking the tough questions, well, not really tough. It was a crazy experience to be on live radio, and I'm sure we made complete asses of ourselves.

Montreal

We left Louisville at about 11:00am and set out for the border. No troubles crossing back in, and our Border Guard kept us there just to talk about music. Cool guy man. Anyways, we have just hit London ON, and will be getting some much needed rest before heading out again to Montreal.

We arrived in Montreal, and immediately found ourselves lost. It allowed us to take in some sights though, including the very alien looking Olympic stadium. So I guess some good came of that. We stayed the night in the University of Montreal hotel. Basically a dorm complex with towels provided.

The show. What can we say? Going from the insanity of the Carnival of Chaos to the after holiday of tranquility of le Barfly was tough. We did play a short set though to a few patrons. We were informed that any day in Montreal is wicked, except for June 25 (by the way we had to make our own sound... and it sounded wicked, thanks to Ryan our sound guy!).

On the upside, we did get to experience the world renowned taste of Shwartz Montreal smoked meat sandwiches. Believe me when I say that nobody can do it like these guys. Johnny and Jerome also got to work on a new song that night back at the hotel. This one is unlike anything we have done before! So I guess some good came out of Montreal.

LOUISVILLE, Ohio

Got into Louisville and checked in at the Carnival of Chaos. We walked around a bit, talked with Mike and Jay from Candy Coated Jesus, then settled into our rooms and prepared for the show. Went and checked out some bands after that. Groundlift was truly wicked along with X Factor 1. Thanks to X factor 1 and Under Crimson Skies for lending us some gear! You guys rock!

Lokjaw took the stage at 8:50 for what would prove to be a fucking wicked show! The crowd was unbelievable, and the sound was thunderous! This was the most fun we have had yet. We owe Candy Coated Jesus for having us and the guys in Fisiticuff for hooking us up, big time. After our set, Candy Coated Jesus took the stage outside. They kicked some ass! It was amazing show. What an experience! Next year, Lokjaw will be taking the stage once again for the Carnival of Chaos, and hopefully at a bunch more shows like it. One more thanks has to go to all the people involved in that show. The bands, security, the soundman, and crew made this possible, and it was perfect.

Well, we got up and left for the border. 45 mins later, we were DENIED entry! What the fuck! We were all worried about it. Being the mega huge drug dealers we all are of course. The real reason, was stupid Ryan didn't have his birth certificate. However, after some grovelling and bribing, Lokjaw is on the road to Louisville! The whole band and all our gear.

Day 7

Played a wicked show at the Coach and Horses on friday night. Thanks to Scott for having us and to all the staff. Had a great time! Also, a big thanks to City in Ruin for kicking off the night. You guys were wicked! Windsor was great, now it's off to Louisville for the big one.

Up in the morning, a lazy one again, and it was off to Windsor ON for the third show of the tour. Thankfully, Tim and Jerome narrowly escaped arrest over a small matter of 1/12 of a beer. It was close, too close. Thanks to the Toronto police for their vigilance in upholding the law. We can't wait for the ticket. Thanks to Steve and his wicked staff for the best stay yet! Toronto was a great place to visit. Java hut and Tortilla flats sustained us on cheap breakfast and cheaper margarita's. Gotta keep healthy...

Toronto

Other than the show, we are all just playing the tourist role, and spend the next day seeing the sights. Some will take in a baseball game, some will laze about some more. Then it's off to Windsor for show #3.

The show at the Kathedral was awesome! A big thanks to Rosilina and all of the staff for giving us the chance to rock toronto! Thanks to the bands who played with us, it was nothing but fun. We also got a live recording out of the deal, so we might be putting a teaser of a new song up somewhere. Maybe. Anyways, the Kathedral is a true metal bar, where you can even meet up with Uncle Jessie!

4 more hours of driving, and we have arrived in Toronto. After checking into The Grange hotel, we hit the streets to take in the city. It was a nice change to get out of the van and have a little time o check everything out. Since we are just of Queens st, we don't have to go very far for some interesting shops. Muchmusic is just down the street, and more food than you could imagine. Other than that, some needed R&R and a couple cervesas on the Black Bull patio for Ryan and Jerome, while Tim and Johnny headed over to the Kathedral to check out a show.

Day Three

Driving, stopping, driving, stopping...I don't think you can have more fun. Wee. 11 hours in a van and we have arrived in Sudbury. Tomorrow it's off to Toronto to prepare for The Kathedral show. I would say more about this day, but nothing happened. Just the grind of touring. Oh yes, and after the rain, the fog...
